Top social media management tools: February 2014 report

In new Social Media Management software rankings based on 350 user reviews, HootSuite earns top customer satisfaction score; 5 products named High Performers

Today G2 Crowd released the first-ever crowdsourced rankings of 13 social media management products based on 350 user reviews. The Grid℠, G2 Crowd’s software recommendation engine, factors in customer satisfaction reported by users and vendor scale determined from social and public data to rank products.

HootSuite earned Leader status based on its high scale scores and the highest customer satisfaction rating reported by users; TweetDeck was also named a Leader. High Performers – which also received high customer satisfaction scores but have lower scale scores – include Sprout Social, GroSocial, AgoraPulse, and Sendible.

With a social media management tool, marketing departments, organizations and individual users can publish to various social media platforms; users can manage multiple accounts across multiple channels. Many social media products now offer monitoring and analytics features in addition to publishing capabilities. Overall, reviewers reported an 81% rate of satisfaction with the social marketing features of their social media platform; users were most satisfied with the tools’ social sharing features (88% rate of satisfaction) and least satisfied with the social advertising capabilities (70% rate of satisfaction).

The infographic below highlights some of the key data points generated by the user reviews and vendor analysis, and our Grid℠ report for social media management has more in-depth information on each product and how it stacks up.

Very interesting, thank you for pulling this together! Two questions: I guess this is related to Winter 2013 nor 2014, correct? All these solutions are standalone – for future assessments are you also planning to integrate enterprise solutions provided by Actiance, Socialware, Hearsay, Adobe, Oracle etc.?
